Immersed in the architectural traditions and craftsmanship of Sri Lanka
A new restaurant designed to immerse guests in the architectural traditions, craftsmanship, and cultural stories of Sri Lanka and South India. The project is the studio’s most expressive collaboration with the Hoppers brand to date, drawing from the region’s historic residences, artisanal practices, and layered visual language.
The design unfolds as a series of interconnected spaces, each shaped by the forms and materials of the region's historic homes
Timber, terracotta and hand-worked finishes bring a sense of warmth and tactility, while patterns, colour and ornament are drawn from traditional crafts and domestic rituals. Together, these elements create a rich, atmospheric setting that feels both grounded in heritage and carefully reinterpreted for a contemporary dining experience.
